Updated since the launch party!
Last post I shared with you how ten authors of Christian Writers of Southern Africa, (CWOSA), took up my challenge to create a boxed set of 13 devotional books. Here’s some news about our amazing launch!
I now have very exciting news to share! ‘In All Things – 13 devotions from Africa’ reached #1 on Amazon in the New Releases: Spiritual Devotions category. What an exciting moment to see our boxed set boasting its little orange ribbon.
We know it won’t stay there, but just getting there at all is very exciting!

And now for more exciting news!
On 24th October, we hosted a Virtual LAUNCH PARTY on FaceBook.
To cater for our friends in the Far East and Australia and New Zealand, the posts and competitions remained open for 24 hours. So although they were not able to join in the real-time fun, they could still read the posts and enter for the prizes.
What happened at the launch party?
- Every 10 minutes, for four hours, one of our authors posted something fresh.
- Every 40 minutes a different team of authors took over as hostesses.
- They shared information about their books
- offered prizes
- posed a question or set a puzzle – clues all showed on their covers (which were on show)
- offered virtual snacks and drinks
- and shared some recipes for scrumptious African treats.
In addition to smaller prizes being offered throughout the party, we had one amazing prize for one lucky guest who attended and participated for the full four hours. Here’s the prize she won!
Do you think she thought it worth spending four hours having fun with us? You bet she did!
And the cherry on the top?
The next day we discovered we had been awarded a second orange ribbon on Amazon! This time for being #1 in the New Releases section in the same genre (Spiritual).
